Spring Plains Vineyard is situated 15 kilometres south of the winery, on the border of the Heathcote and Macedon Ranges Wine Regions. It faces east and the soils are black loams over granite sands. This vineyard is always the last to be harvested and it is usually a full two weeks later than the “Original Vineyard” at the winery. The wines that are made from this vineyard are rich and powerful, with an emphasis on spice and fine tannins, black fruits and anise.
