A wonderful example of Roussanne. A wine that can be enjoyed for many many years if cellared carefully.

100% Roussanne from our Adairs Lane Vineyard in the cooler Mia Mia sub-region. Fermented in 100% new 500L French oak. It is allowed to reach ambient temperatures to help develop texture and softness during fermentation. It is then left on lees for 9-11 months, being stirred monthly to further develop complexities through yeast autolysis.


Tasting Notes

Entirely from our Mia Mia Vineyard with 1.5 acres of Roussanne being grafted onto Shiraz roots in 2014. The fruit was so good we decided to bottle it as a new release. It’s been fermented in French oak puncheons (66% new), is golden in colour with a pinkish hue. Lifted aromatics of blossom, crushed nuts, wheat germ, apricot and a richness from 100% malolactic fermentation. The palate is phenolic and creamy and has a great balance. Think orchard fruits with a wonderful textured finish. It’s a ripper and oh so drinkable. 14.0% Alc. Cellar up to 8 years.
